Connolly racing ahead but spoiled vote tally worrying In Meath East Too

Catherine Connolly is off on a canter in Meath East and on this showing looks to be heading for the Park. In 31 boxes tallied at the Ashbourne count centre where returning officer Kevin Martin is in charge. Connolly led in every one with Humphreys following up with roughly half of Connolly’s vote. In most boxes Jim Gavin barely scraped into double figures.

The number of spoiled votes showing up in the tallies is predictably high and here’s the general run from tallies I have seen – 27, 21, 61, 66, 59, 37, 41, 32, 54, 43, 38, 36, 37, 34, 50, 19, 39, 14, 45, 45, 30, 36, 41, 31, 94, 40, 37.
