The body of a man who has been missing since earlier this month was recovered from the River Boyne today. Jordan Newman had been last seen on 10th November and there have been widespread searches of the river since then. Following 20 days of searches Meath River Rescue confirmed that a body had been recovered.

The organisation said that Silver Bridge Kayaking Club had been involved in the searches and today requested assistance from MRR which launched it’s rescue jet boat and recovered the body. It acknowledged the support from members of the public, local businesses and all other rescue teams who came together to help.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends”, Meath River Rescue said. The organisation said it would be continuing the search for missing 14-year-old boy Benjamin Spot. The Slovskisn boy has been missing since 19th November. This was the second body recovered in the last two days when another man’s was discovered and taken from the Boyne near Trim on Thursday,
