Two drivers who were caught driving without insurance have been disqualified from driving. The men failed to appear when their names were called at Trim District Court. Nikolajz Janovs (40), Cluain Ri, Ashbourne was stopped y garda Adrian Hynes at Cluain Ri on 28 th February last. He was fined €300 and disqualified from driving for two years. Paata Maisuradze (32), Potter Road, The Pottery, Bakers Point, Dublin was stopped by Garda Shane Doody at Main Street, Dunshaughlin on 4 th April last.

Separately, Thomas McDonagh (19), Castlemeadows, Ring Road, Trim appeared in court charged with theft at Woodies hardware Store, Kells Road, Navan on 6 th June last. He pleaded guilty. The court was told that he went into the store and took two tracers worth a total of €99.80. The court heard that he had previous convictions from Carlow and Drogheda District Court. In Carlow in October this year and at Drogheda. He  was given a three-month suspended sentence.

Judge Eirinn McKiernan issued arrest warrants for the following who failed to answer summonses to court – David Collins (32), Avilla Park, Finglas who is accused of theft at Aldi, Main Street, Clonee on 12 th July 2022; Shane Gaynor (39), Crossakiel Heights, Crossakiel, Kells who is accused of driving without insurance on 14 th July last year. Sarah Delap (23), Coolronan Park, Ballivor stopped by Garda Ivan Purcell for alleged dangerous driving at Navan Gate, Trim on 30 th March 2023; Lukas Jurgilas (26), Foxtown, Summerhill who was stopped by Garda Christopher Lynch for alleged drug and dangerous driving at R154 Augherskea, Drumree on 14 th December 2023.
