One of Ireland’s best-known independent bookmakers, Bar One Racing, has officially rebranded to BAR 1 Betting, marking the beginning of a bold new era for the company. The rebrand coincides with the launch of a new website and next-generation mobile app, designed to deliver a faster, smoother, and more intuitive betting experience across all sports and racing markets.

Today at the Fairyhouse Winter Festival Bar 1 continues it’s support to Irish racing with sponsorship of the Bar 1 Hatton’s Grace Hurdle and Bar 1 Betting Drinmore Novice Chase both Grade 1 races along with sponsorship of five other races in the eight card programme.

Founded by Barney O’Hare, the company opened its first betting shop in Dundalk in the early 1990’s. What began as a single local bookmaker has since evolved into one of Ireland’s leading independent betting operators, combining a nationwide retail presence employing over 350 people with a modern online and mobile platform. BAR 1 Betting also operates a Telebetting service with their headquarters located in Dundalk, County Louth.
