A 58-year-old man with addresses in Dunderry and Trim who appeared at Trim District Court on child abuse images charges has been sent for trial. The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with possession of 5,851 images and 129 videos of child abuse contrary to the Child Trafficking and Pornography Act 1998. A Garda gave evidence of having served a book of evidence on the accused who was then sent forward by Judge Eirinn McKiernan for trial at Trim Circuit Court on 11th of this month.
