Major road incident on 51 near Navan

Gardai, rescue personnel in ambulances and fire engines attended the scene of a major road incident on the N51 Slane to Navan Road this afternoon. Three vehicles – two cars and a van – were involved in a collision at the Donaghmore Round Tower junction and all vehicles were severely damaged. Local people including Michael McBride helped marshall heavy traffic pending the arrival of emergency services. Gardai said they had no immediate reports of injuries.
