Deputy Johnny Guirke has stated how “This is not good enough”. Over the past few days, Deputy Guirke has been actively engaging with Irish Water in pursuit of clear answers and a definitive explanation and says the lack if updates not received has been frustrating for the residents of Ballivor in county Meath.

Deputy Johnny Guirke Stated” People in Ballivor cannot wait any longer. The upgrade of the plant and the broader water supply must begin as soon as possible. In the interim, Irish Water must safeguard every home and business, which means deploying additional water tanks to bolster the reservoir and ensure a steady, reliable supply for residents and essential services. I have already written to Minister James Browne and Irish Water seeking full answers and a concrete timeline. Since being elected in 2020, I have consistently raised this issue, and the Government must act now.”

Deputy Guirke concluded “The plan remains clear: urgent preparation for the upgrade, immediate interim measures, and ongoing accountability. People in Ballivor deserves transparency and tangible progress, and I will continue to press for a robust, reliable water system that serves the community today and into the future.
