As part of an intelligence-led operation targeting organised crime, personnel attached to the Garda National Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau, Organised & Serious Crime, and the Drogheda Drug Unit searched a business premises in Duleek, Co. Meath on Friday 29th May 2026. During the course of the operation, Gardaí seized 1 kilogram of suspected cocaine and over €220,000 in cash.
Three adult males (aged in their 50s, 40s, 20s) were arrested and are currently detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act 2007 in a Garda Station in the North Western Region. During follow up searches, Gardaí seized an additional €220,000, £89,000 sterling and a number of items of evidential value. The seized drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis. Investigations are ongoing.
