Local Dunboyne pages on Facebook have been flooded with reports of teen thugs checking out theft opportunities around the villages housing estates.
One revealed how a young lad was seen wearing a face mask going around checking car doors up around St Peters Park and Luttrel Hall before running off when confronted
He was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a red hoodie, with a motif on front, and a black and white band on the arm. He had a skin fade hair cut
The youth appears to be reasonably well known with one poster reporting a sighting and saying, ‘He left on a bike when challenged.’
Another tagged her friend asking “who did we see last night wearing a red hoodie 🙄”
More and more people are coming forward to advise of a variety of incidents.
One said, ‘ Unfortunately they are starting to break windows, myself and another neighbour had our windows broken last week, we live on the way into Dunboyne in the Loughsallagh area ‘
Another resident says “There’s kids going around every night when I am doing the curry deliveries and you don’t know what they are doing”
