Kieran Kehoe, the vice chairman of Laois GAA is set to be the new CEO of Meath County Council.

A qualified engineer, Kehoe, from Killenard is currently a director of services in Waterford county council, having previously been town manager in Portlaoise.

He began working life in Siac Butler an engineering plant in Portarlington.

During his time with Laois county council he served as a Director of Services for transportation, emergency services, planning and economic development and special projects.

A source told Meath Live, ‘Kieran has received a written offer of employment and everyone is satisfied he is the right person for the role.’
