A 40-year-old man who appeared at Trim District Court charged with assault and issuing threats has been sent for trial. Mark Curran with addresses at Lynfield, Oldcastle Road, Kells and Navan Road, Duleek was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm at that address on 22nd February last year.
He was also charged with threats to kill or cause injury to a person and with producing an article in the course of a dispute on the same occasion. A Garda gave evidence of having served a book of evidence on the accused. Judge Shalom Binchy issued an alibi caution to the accused and then sent hi forward for trial to Trim Circuit Court on 21st October next.
