Ceremonies to mark the Holy Year (Jubilee) 2025 Year of Hope are to be held at Fore next Sunday 31st August. The nine parishes of the Fore Deanery will celebrate at Fore Abbey at 4pm. There will be Liturgy of the Word, Homily, Adoration, Exposition and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament.
At St Feichin’s Church, Fore Village Vespers, Evening Prayer led by monks of Silverstream Benedictine Monastery will take place at 5pm. Light refreshments will be served in the Coffee Shop afterwards.
St James Church Athboy will celebrate its 180 years by presenting Mary Duff in concert on Friday 5th December at 8pm. Tickets are available at Darnley Lodge Hotel or at the door on the night priced €25.
Kingscourt parish pilgrimage to Fatima and the Shrines of St Anthony in Lisbon is being organised for
