Sinn Fein Cllr Eddie Fennessy has called on the Meath County Council officials to request from the National transport Authority the provision of a bus stop at Flower Hill in Navan opposite Gough’s plant hire business. The cllr said if this was not feasible a request should be put in for a bus stop at Abbeylands near the planned Age Friendly development planned for that location over the next year.

Officials replied that requests for bus stops should be directed to the National Transport Authority. Cllr Fennessy also called for a survey to be carried out on the road at Newgate with a view to installing street lighting to make it safer for motorists exiting and entering the Irish Wheelchair Association and Alzheimer’s Centre and local businesses based there.
