The noise from extraction fans from a local takeaway premises led to an action being taken by Tanja and John Glennon of Chestnut Square , Navan at the local district court. However, Judge Eirinn McKiernan was told “matters have been agreed” when the case was called on Friday last.
Tanja Glennon said the plaintiff were prepared to withdraw the complaint against Davide Tamilio of Growney Street, Athboy on him undertaking he would keep the noise at the level it was now. The plaintiff said the issue had been going on for a year and a half and concerned
extraction fans at the front and rear of the premises. The court heard that the fan at the back had been fixed and extra work had been done the last couple of weeks. The defendant was not going to use the front fan.
