A man who appeared at Trim District Court on sex assault charges has been sent for trial. The man who cannot be named and whose age was not given was charged with engaging in a sexual act with a child under 17 at an address in Ashbourne in December 2023. He was also charge with the exploitation of a minor. Garda Carr gave evidence of having served a book of evidence on the accused. Judge Eirinn McKiernan, pictured above, issued an alibi warning to the accused and then sent him forward for trial to Trim Circuit Court on 28 th of this month.
Drug charges Man Sent For Trial
A 26-year-old man who appeared at Trim District Court on a possession of drugs charge has been sent for trial. Paulius Saukcius with an address at Milltown Meadows, Ashbourne was charged with possession of cannabis at that address on 5th October last year. A Garda gave evidence of having served a book of evidence on the accused who was then sent forward for trial at Trim Circuit Court by Judge Eirinn McKiernan. The judge remanded him on continuing bail until the date of his trial.
