A 57-year-old man with a Navan address who appeared at Trim District Court charge with sexual assault has been sent forward for trial. The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with sexual assault on a female at Slane on a date in April last year. Garda O Gallachoir gave evidence of having served a book of evidence in the case. Judge Eirinn McKiernan issued an alibi warning to the accused and remanded him on bail to appear for trial at Trim Circuit Court on 27 th January next.
