The man who proclaims himself the “King of Ireland” and who has told many judges they are his subjects was back in court on Friday – this time at Navan District Court, but only briefly. In a case listed as “Ri James v Meath County Council” and naming him as “litigant in person”, James Carey, Preston Hill, Stamullen has claimed €15,000 damages against Meath County Council and Kells Garda Station. Details of the claim were not read out in court during a hearing that took less than three minutes.
He opened his case by asking “Will we be friends?” and adding “No war today”. He said that in relation to the case this was the first hearing of it. Asked what the case was about he said the broad bones of it was about Kells Town Council and Navan Town Council in the 1980s. As King of the Land Commission his portrait had “gone back up”. It was alleged that “fraud and villainy” had been done and his identity stolen at that time. “My signatures were defrauded”. He said he couldn’t instruct the case today (Friday) because “more information is coming out by the hour”. He wanted an adjournment until May or June.
Judge Eirinn McKiernan, pictured above, thanked the applicant. She said she had looked at the papers in the case and said there was no basis for his claims and struck out the claims. He replied “You’re the middle of the two ends of a b****cks” is what you are. No wonder Putin and George W Bush and the Queen of England f****d off out of Gibbstown in the 50s”.
The judge said to the Garda in court “Will you remove this gentleman from the court please?” and three Gardai ushered Mr Carey out.
