Two men in their 40s with Co Meath addresses appeared in court today charged in connection with the seizure of drugs valued at €100,000. Kenneth McMorrow (46), with an address at Bective Park, Kilmessan was charged with a number of counts of alleged possession of cannabis worth €100,000 for sale or supply at named townlands Baronstown and Belpere in Co Meath on 19th January. He was also charged with possession of €11,820 suspected to be the proceeds of crime on the same day.
Gary Owens (45) of Ashbrook, Clogherboy, Navan was charged with similar offences. A detective garda gave evidence of having charged the two accused who gave no reply when the charges were put to them. Judge Eirinn McKiernan remanded both men in custody to appear at Trim District Court next Tuesday.
