Meath have notched three successive wins with the some exciting long range points of the boot of Jack Flynn to land the spoils in the last two outings. As the demolition job of the main stand of Páirc Tailteann continues.  Flynn is turning into a bit of demolition expert himself as he has put paid to two good come back attempts by Cavan and Louth in back to back weekends.

The final score at Croke Park tells a change of fortunes for Meath having struggled in the previous three outings to Louth, the last being a Leinster Final. defeat. Meath have improved there’s no doubt and have found how to win games when they might have slipped at the end.  Most Gaels know there is a long way to go but the basics are all moving in the right direction.

The long range shooting  suits the Meath style, the rules have lifted the excitement and the figures from Croke Park announced earlier in the week all point to positives. There was a packed crowded in the Munster with Cork at home to All Ireland champions Tipperary where Cork reversed the result in a tough and no quarter  given affair. As the game should be played pointed out by Cork manager Ben O’Connor.

We can see the fight coming back into the football too but from a Meath perspective we are seeing the fight back in Meath football and crowds will come when a team wins. Success breeds success.
