Report Paul Murphy
Meath County Council is continuing to seek out premises that might be suitable to be used as emergency accommodation, its March meeting has been told. Sinn Fein Cllr Fionnan Blake asked if there had been any follow-up for extra emergency accommodation.

Council Director of Services for Housing Fiona Fallon said that the council was continually reviewing and looking at sites. It had a number of initiatives in progress at the moment including advertising for expressions of interest. There had been “quite a number” of properties approaching the council. Not all of the accommodation offered was suitable but the council was looking at these offers to see where it could expand but at the same time get value for money, the official said.
