A 46-year-old man who appeared at Trim District Court charged with handling the alleged proceeds of crime has been sent for trial. Matthew Fadeyi, with an address at Birch Drive, Johnstown Wood, Navan was charged with engaging in converting, handling, acquiring or possessing €1,500 credited to a Bank of Ireland account number in his name knowing that or being reckless as to whether or not the money was the proceeds of crime on 21 st January 2021 contrary to the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act, 2010.

Garda Sergeant Thornton gave evidence of having served a book of evidence on the accused who was then sent forward by Judge Eirinn McKiernan for trial at Trim Circuit Court on 28 th of this month.
