Registration is now open for Dream Space Showcase 2026/27, a free national STEM programme that gives primary school pupils and youth clubs the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and maths through hands-on projects and creative problem-solving. This is the fourth year that Meath County Council is encouraging and supporting schools to take part in the programme.
Schools across the county have been developing fantastic projects showing the creativity and ingenuity of Meath’s students. Designed especially for rural schools and clubs, the year-long programme provides everything participants need to get involved, including on-demand learning resources, live coding workshops, project support and opportunities to showcase their work throughout the year.
No previous coding or STEM experience is required, and schools do not need specialist equipment or technology to take part. For schools, the programme supports the new Primary School Curriculum and STEM Education Specification, helping teachers bring STEM learning into the classroom in a practical and engaging way. For clubs, it provides an exciting challenge that young people can work towards together, developing teamwork, creativity and digital skills.
Two online information sessions will be held on Tuesday, 29 September (15:30 – 16:15) and Thursday, 1 October (19:00-19:45). Participants will have the chance to take part in local and regional showcase events, with an optional national finale hosted by Microsoft Ireland from 31 May to 4 June 2027.
Dream Space Showcase gives children the opportunity to become creators, innovators and problem-solvers while building confidence in the skills that will shape their future.
