A man in his 20s has died after he was hit by a train near Gormanston station last night.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the incident on the Dublin to Belfast line at around 9.30pm.
The man received treatment at the scene but was later pronounced dead.
His body has since been taken to Navan mortuary.
The line remained closed for some time.
It has since reopened and a full service has resumed.
