The executive engineer for Ratoath Municipal District came in for praise for his work in the area when the MD members met last week. Independent Cllr Nick Killian thanked him for the large amount of hedge cutting executed recently. The cllr thanked the council chief executive for coming to the area.
He also said that Travellers had parked on the relief road in the area four times in the last six months. He had sought bollards for that area and the chief executive had agreed. The Cathaoirleach Cllr Brian Fitzgerald and Cllrs Gerry O’Connor and Fionnan Blake also thanked Mr Traynor for his work. Cllr O’Connor drew attention to “a growing problem everywhere – the riding of e-scooters on footpaths”.
