A 19-year-old man has died following a hit-and-run incident last night at Nugentstown on Wednesday evening around 8.00pm. It is understood that the young man riding his cycle was in a collision with a van in the incident. The driver of the van failed to stop and Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward with any information
They appeal to anyone who may have been travelling in the area of Nugentstown, Kells yesterday evening between 7.30pm and 8.30pm, and who may have camera footage, including dash cam or mobile phone recordings are asked to make this footage available to gardaí. His body was brought to the mortuary at Our Lady’s Hospital in Navan Navan and post mortem will take place.
