Speaking on LMFM’s Michael Reade Show this morning, Patrick Lawlor, the co chairperson of Navan Pride confirmed that Leo Varadkar, Micheal Martin and Simon Harris have been invited to attend the launch of Navan Pride on June 12th.
He was at pains to point out that, politicians of all hues are welcome to attend their programme of events, from June 26th which will culminate with a parade, on July first.
Lawlor welcomed the backing of the Taoiseach, Tánaiste and Minister for Justice, all of who’ve said they’ll attend what will be the towns first ever Pride festival if their diaries allow.
It follows last week’s unprovoked attack on a 14 year old school boy in Navan, which received widespread condemnation, after it was filmed and shared on social media.
