This afternoon, there is an emergency incident, presently being attended to by all emergency services. Meath River Rescue and Garda helicopter are also at the scene at the junction on Newbridge on the Athlumney road and Navan Inner Relief.
Update
Gardaí have confirmed that emergency services attended a scene of a road traffic collision involving a number of vehicles on Athlumney Road, Navan, that occurred shortly after 2:00pm on Wednesday 28 th January 2026. Thankfully no injuries were reported and the road has since been cleared.

St Martha’s Bridge in Navan was closed tonight due the accident
This evening around 8.00 pm there was another traffic accident reported on the St Martha’s Bridge. The bridge was closed off to traffic. It was reported to involve three vehicles. See picture above.
